Terms of Service

ScoutIQ is a software service that uses AI to break down game film into tagged plays, scouting reports, and game plans for coaches. Coaches upload film, the AI analyzes it, and the resulting analysis is available to the coach (and, if enabled, to subscribed parents on a view-only basis).

You’re responsible for the security of your account credentials. Don’t share your password. If you discover unauthorized access, email support@scoutiq.org immediately and we’ll help you secure it. You must be 18 or older to create a coach account.

• Coach subscriptions are billed monthly per sport. Each sport (football, basketball, etc.) requires a separate subscription. Plans range from $99/month (1 coach seat) to $599/month (unlimited seats). You can change plans at any time from Team Settings.
• Parent subscriptions are $15/month per parent, per team, per kid. Parents can subscribe via a link the coach shares.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method until you cancel.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until then. Cancel anytime from Team Settings → Manage Subscription. There are no cancellation fees.
• Refunds are at our discretion. If something is genuinely broken on our side, email us — we’ll make it right.
• Price changes apply only to future billing cycles and we’ll notify active subscribers at least 30 days before any increase.

You agree not to:

• Upload film you don’t have the right to use. You represent that you own or have permission to upload all film you submit.
• Upload content that violates laws, infringes copyright, or contains explicit or illegal material.
• Share your account, scouting reports, or game plans with people on opposing teams in a way that would be considered cheating in your league or sport’s rules.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercialize ScoutIQ analysis outside of using it for your own coaching staff and team operations.
• Attempt to circumvent paywalls, automated rate limits, or security measures.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the service to build a competing product.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with refund of any unused subscription period unless the violation involved illegal content.

• Your film and edits stay yours. You retain all rights to film you upload and any edits or annotations you make.
• AI-generated analysis (tagged plays, reports, game plans) is yours to use however you want for your team’s benefit.
• The ScoutIQ software, brand, and visual design belong to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or resell the platform itself.
• License to operate. By uploading film, you grant ScoutIQ a limited, non-exclusive license to process, analyze, store, and display that film for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license ends 30 days after you cancel or delete your account.

We aim for high uptime but can’t guarantee 100% — like all software, ScoutIQ may occasionally be down for maintenance, deploys, or unexpected issues. AI-generated analysis is a productivity tool, not a substitute for your judgment as a coach. We don’t guarantee accuracy of every tag or report; we provide editing tools so you can correct anything the AI gets wrong.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScoutIQ’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost games, missed scouting opportunities, or recruiting consequences. (We mean it. AI breaks down film. You still coach the team.)

You can cancel anytime; your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are overdue on payment for more than 30 days, or are inactive for an extended period. If we terminate without cause, you’ll receive a pro-rata refund of any unused subscription time.

We may update these terms occasionally. When changes are material, we’ll notify active subscribers by email and give 30 days’ notice before the changes take effect. Continued use after that period means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ScoutIQ is registered. Disputes will be resolved in good faith first; if we can’t reach agreement, in the courts of that state.
